Objective
This solution can be used to easily deploy device instances of the Siemens SENTRON PAC4200 Power Meter.
The PAC4200 Power Meters all have Modbus servers with predefined tags. The premade templates include all the tags available in the power meter. The templates are based on the address tables in Appendix A.2 in the manual for the power meter. This reduces the time customers need to spend to be able to read data from their PAC4200 Power Meters.
There are two templates. The template without timestamps is recommended because it is much simpler to use. The template with timestamps requires users to use flows to split the values into its constituent words to get the value and the timestamp because the PAC4200 Modbus server only allows Modbus clients to read the tags in whole.
Example Use Case
Customers can have many of these power meters in a facility, so users can upload multiple templates for multiple devices, and customers do not need to do any post-processing to get the tag data
